Beginner-level training is the phase of getting acquainted with sports and is generally held in the autumn months. Although the entire flight experience is carried out by the trainee personally, the instructors provide instructions to the trainees with radio commands at all stages of the flight (take-off, take-off, flight, and landing) and ensure that the flight is completed safely. If an unexpected situation does not occur in weather conditions, the initial training is completed within a month.

First Phase - Theoretical Training
The first phase consists of theoretical training. Trainees are offered 4-5 days a week between 19:00-22:00, presentation / video-assisted paragliding lessons over the internet (Introducing the sport (general information), Material Knowledge, Aerodynamics, Flight technique, Air Traffic Rules, Clouds, Wind Intensity and Direction Determination, Turbulence Areas, Emergency Situations, Reserve Parachute, etc.) are explained. A general repetition is done on the last day. Then, two separate exams are held to measure the education level of the participants. For the trainees who cannot attend the classes due to valid reasons or fail the exam, make-up training is organized the next week and they are allowed to take the exam again.
Scond Phase - Ground Traning
In the second phase, ground training (practical training) is also started in parallel with the theoretical lessons. In these training held on suitable lands in Gölbaşı, Ayaş, and Yenikent, the trainees learn to use the equipment, equip, lay the parachute, controls, lift, hold it overhead, and make the start run. This phase is the most tiring but the most important part of the training. The training lasts all day at the weekend and continues until the trainees reach a sufficient level. Approximately 3 or 4 days, ie 2 weekends, is sufficient for this job. Trainees who are successful at this stage move on to low-hill flights.
Ground Training
Third Phase - Low-hill Flights
The third phase consists of low-hill flights. Low-hill flights are carried out to accustom the trainees who are successful in theoretical and ground training to high-hill flights. On the 5-10-meter inclined hills, the trainee rises off the ground, and they do the landing run when landing.
This training aims to see whether the trainees can apply the points they learned in theoretical lessons and ground training on the flight line, their compliance with radio commands, excitement controls, and take-off/landing skills. There is no number of flights and this phase is continued until the trainees are successful.
Low-hill flights
Fourth Phase - High-hill Flights
The fourth and final stage is high-hill flights. The trainees who complete all three stages pass to high hill flights. 60 – 350 m. 7-10 flights are done from suitable hills. All flights are made by the trainees and successful trainees are given an athlete license and a certificate of participation.
High-hill flights
Trainees who completed their beginner-level training can continue their club pilot training and flights. While trainees do not need to buy materials for Beginner-level training, those who want to reach club pilot, pilot, and experienced pilot levels must have their equipment.

Paragliding is a very fun, very enjoyable, and adrenaline-filled sport. While doing this sport, you get incredible pleasure and make many new friendships. But when done wrong and in the wrong hands, the consequences can be just as deadly.
Many clubs and trainers are providing paragliding training in Ankara. Even though some clubs and trainers provide very high-quality training, prioritize safety measures, give importance to equipment, materials, and training materials, and raise the quality standards to a certain level. But on the other hand, some clubs look at the trainee as an income source no more, therefore they do not renew their equipment and training materials.
Therefore you must be aware of such clubs and do deep research before you decide to take any training. We take high risk and responsibility in your training. Please be careful.
Before deciding on the trainer / club you will train with;
- Go to the club's location and meet face-to-face with the trainers and club managers,
- Examine the equipment, materials and lecture notes you will be training,
- Check their infrastructure. Ask, inquire, review websites.
- If possible, reach out to pilots who have been trained by those clubs before and ask about their experiences.
- Make sure you can always find a contact person.
- Make sure they are transparent, descriptive, relevant and knowledgeable.
